When certain situations occur in our communities, we know how to pull together. We raise money for funerals in unexpected death, we come together to protest, etc.

How awesome it would be if we could unify just for the sake of unity and knowing who we are!

That’s exactly what Kwanzaa celebrations are all about. Kwanzaa is described as a celebration, honoring African heritage in African-American culture.  It is observed from December 26 through January 1.

Planned events for Tuscaloosa’s Annual Kwanzaa Celebration include presentations on the seven principles of Kwanzaa, an Ujamaa Bazar, and even a family-friendly Kwanzaa Ball! More information.
