Twitter Plans To Increase Its 140 Character Limit

If you are one many people you are frustrated with Twitter’s 140 character limit, you will be glad to hear that Twitter is building a new product that will allow you to share tweets longer than 140 characters.

I first heard of this on good morning America. As you know Twitter’s trademark feature has been its 140 character limit since its inception.  The 140 character limit has been a topic of discussion from users and those inside the company.

Twitter’s interim CEO Jack Dorsey feels Twitter needs to reach more of the mainstream audience, and that tweaking Twitter’s character limit could be the answer.
