Remember people: Begging works.

A few weeks ago, as Transformers: The Last Knight began beefing up its cast with Josh Duhamel, who’d appeared in the first three Transformers movies for director Michael Bay, Tyrese Gibson, who’d also appeared in Bay’s first Transformers trilogy, began campaigning on social media for a return of his own. He later deleted the videos, but they were covered extensively online; here’s just one example.

Michael Bay responded to Tyrese’s videos with “I’m thinking.” And as anyone who’s seen Michael Bay’s movies knows, the guy doesn’t think about stuff for long. Because now, a few weeks later, we have this:

And there’s also a video to go along with it:

Transformers: The Last Knight, which is the fifth movie in the franchise, is quickly becoming the Fast Five of this series: The movie that brings together two totally different casts for one adventure. Fast Five combined the original characters with ones from 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo DriftThe Last Knight unites Mark Wahlberg’s Cade Yeager from Age of Extinction with Duhamel and Gibson, and who knows who else.

Tyrese, of course, is one of the stars of both the Transformers and Fast franchises. Maybe he should make a video about combining the two next, and then we could get a movie where Vin Diesel rode Optimus Prime and Dwayne Johnson punched Megatron in the face. That would be great. Ask for that next Tyrese! Transformers: The Last Knight is less than a year away now; it opens in theaters on June 23, 2017.
