UA Student Charged with Rape of Another Student

Police were dispatched to DCH Regional Medical Center at around 3:30 pm on Saturday on a report of a possible sexual assault.

University of Alabama student Jacob Norris, 20, has charged with first-degree rape, according to authorities.

The 20 year old female victim told investigators that the assault took place at Norris' apartment on 13th Street East in Tuscaloosa. She stated that Norris both physically and sexually assaulted her.

Norris was then located at his apartment and after an investigation, was charged with rape. He was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $30,000 bond.

This news comes just one week after three University of Alabama students were charged in the gang rape of a Shelton State Community College student.
