Last month, a lawsuit prevented the release of a posthumous Prince EP called Deliverance, which featured unreleased music from the late musician. Now Prince’s former label, Warner Bros. Records, has released two previously unheard tunes that will be featured on the upcoming re-issue of Prince’s classic 1984 album, Purple Rain.

The songs “Our Destiny” and “Roadhouse Garden” will appear on the Purple Rain Deluxe and Purple Rain Deluxe - Expanded Edition. According to SPIN, Prince often played these songs at his live performances during the late 80s.

Our Destiny” is an orchestral ballad featuring The Revolution’s Lisa Coleman on vocals behind a string quartet. Meanwhile, "Roadhouse Garden" is an upbeat track that boasts soothing synths and a call-and-response chorus, with Prince singing alongside Coleman and keyboardist Matt "Dr." Fink.

Both songs were recorded in concert at First Avenue in Minneapolis on June 7, 1984, which was Prince’s 26th birthday. They were also considered to be included on the Purple Rain follow-up, Around the World in a Day (1985).

The Purple Rain Deluxe and the Purple Rain Deluxe - Expanded Edition will be available on June 23. You can pre-order the releases here.
