A video released on Monday captured the chilling moment a man pulled a gun from his car, chased down the victim, and shot him in front of Rounders on the Strip in Tuscaloosa.

CBS 42 first released the video after obtaining permission and it shows the alleged shooter, 26-year-old Tamarcus Ikner, get in a scuffle on the sidewalk before walking over to his car and getting a gun from someone. Police have identified the man in the vehicle as Ikner's older brother Kenneth.

“Homicide investigators learned that Kenneth Ikner and the victim have an ongoing dispute over a woman,” said Capt. Kip Hart, Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit assistant commander. “Witnesses advised that the victim is standing outside Rounders when Tamarcus Ikner comes up to him and there is an altercation. Tamarcus Ikner then goes back to the vehicle and gets a gun from Kenneth Ikner. Tamarcus Ikner then chases the victim a few feet and shoots him.”

The victim was shot in the back and later taken to DCH Regional Medical. Police quickly took the suspects into custody, where they are both being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $60,000 bond each. Tamarcus Ikner has been charged with attempted murder and Kenneth Ikner has been charged with first-degree assault.

The shooting happened just after midnight following Alabama's Homecoming win over Arkansas. The game ended just a couple hours earlier and the Strip was still crowded with people.

"There was no reason for it,'' Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit Capt. Kip Hart said Monday. "We're very fortunate no one else was hurt."
