Through the collected efforts of several local historical organizations, Tuscaloosa's past is now available to her present and future residents. The Tuscaloosa Area Virtual Museum contains over 800 images in the library and residents are welcome to contribute their personal photos to the project.

Included in the collection are images of a trolley wreck on the University of Alabama campus, the constructions of the bank building downtown and DCH Regional Medical Center. You can also browse through the portraits of men and women several of our landmarks are named in honor of. Just make sure you block out enough time to get lost for a few hours.

Special thanks to Betty Slowe for her continued efforts in keeping our heritage alive.
