What Day Does Splash Adventure Waterpark Open?

With warmer weather finally talking over the forecast, it's time to start making plans for the Spring and Summer. You know it won't be long until the suffocating heat moves into Alabama so you'll likely be looking for a way to cool off without having to get too far out of Tuscaloosa. The nearest waterpark is about a 30 minute drive up Interstate 20/59 in Bessemer - Splash Adventure.

The park's opening day is May 4 and that first month doesn't have a full-time schedule so make sure you check the hours ahead of time. During that opening Saturday, Splash Adventure will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

You might remember the park as Visionland when it originally opened 15 years ago and later Alabama Adventure following an ownership change. Splash Adventure became a waterpark exclusively in 2012 after it closed the amusement park side permanently. The park features eleven different attractions, including a lazy river and a zip line that runs through the entire place.
