What Does Your Name Say About You

There is a good reason a race and age is not allowed on job applications. Employers could use this information to discriminate.

Employers are not required to interview all the applicants that apply for the job. The screening process starts with the application.

Today employers will  know your race with a brief glance of your resume or application. Unlike Martin, John, Michael, James, or Robert common names that don’t scream race.

Names like DeAndre, TyShawn, YaSheema, Kardarius, KeJuan, Lashonda,and Kimothy scream African American or Black. Who wouldn’t  know? It’s Just a little something to think about.
