Why Is The Academy Apologizing

I heard on the news that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences apologized to Asians for anything on the Oscar telecast that may have been offensive. Well, what about African-American, White people and every other race on earth.

Chris Rock is a comedian. Comedians tell jokes. Comedians tell jokes about people. Jokes are told to make people laugh and have fun. Does anybody really take jokes serious?

Nothing or anybody is off limits to comedians. If you think I’m kidding sit on the front row at a comedy show. If you have been to a comedy show you know what I’m talking about. If you attend a comedy show you are fair game. That’s a rule that will never change as long as we have good comedians.

I’m sure the Academy was well aware of what Chris was going to say and do. So why are they apologizing? That’s the real joke!!
