If Governor Chris Christie has his way the Social Security retirement age in the U.S. will be 69. During a speech Tuesday in New Hampshire Governor Christie unveiled a national plan to reform Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Social Security benefits will be phased out for people making more than $80,000 in additional income and would eliminate benefits all together for people making more than $200,000 or more a year.

This plan would raise the early retirement age to 64 and the retirement age to 69.
