Next week, the doors of the Bryant Conference Center will open for a wine drinkers' heaven: Tuscaloosa Uncorked. At this event, attendees will have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines as well as shop with local vendors.

It wasn't until maybe two years ago that I actually tasted a wine I like. I was introduced to those produced by Morgan Creek in Harpersville. They are delicious. Some taste like strong juice. Others are a bit more dry. I like the fact that they're made not too far away from here and that they're not very pricey.

Of course, wine can be costly. A beginner (like myself) could go through numerous bottles before discovering one he/she likes, which is why Tuscaloosa Uncorked is the perfect event for beginners. It gives the opportunity to taste different manufacturers' wines and flavors as well as different levels of sweetness and dryness without having to buy numerous bottles. Ironically, this is the same thing that makes it the perfect event for the seasoned wine enthusiast, as well.

So, make plans to attend. Get your tickets and more information here.
