Still sprinkling a little powder into your panties? You could be setting yourself up for more than a yeast or bacterial infection. Looks like there may be a link to ovarian cancer, a theory supported by juries who are now awarding money.

One South Dakota woman who said talcum powder led to her diagnosis of ovarian cancer has taken Johnson & Johnson to court over the issue, and a St. Louis jury ordered the company to pay the plaintiff $55 million. This is the second time this year that a jury has sided with the plaintiff in such cases. In February, $72 million was awarded to the family of an Alabama woman who was also diagnosed with ovarian cancer after using Johnson & Johnson products containing talcum.

Of course, this does not go without a fight as the company plans to appeal the Monday ruling.
