WTUG Food Drive a Great Success

For a number of years, WTUG has held food drives to make sure everyone in our area has a hot meal during the holidays. We ask for help from the community, and always receive it. This year was no different.

It was amazing to see the outpouring of love from donors in the community as well as the businesses that granted us permission to hold drives from their locations. As a result, we were able to assist the Jesus Way Homeless Shelter in feeding their temporary residents.

Pastor Larry Doughty, CEO of Jesus Way, expressed his gratitude for the donations as he works hard to maintain a place of shelter for the homeless, and the shelter runs primarily on donations. When I called to make arrangements for the donations to be received, Pastor Doughty's first statement was, "Bless the Lord!" He made no haste in picking up the donations before continuing in the work he feels called to do.
