WTUG Presents The New Artist Showcase

It's no secret that West Alabama is FULL of musical talent, and we think it's about time local artists had a platform to showcase that talent.  WTUG is giving them that platform in the New Artist Showcase.

The WTUG New Artist Showcase will feature a new song by an artist in local and surrounding areas during Trey G’s show at 7pm. Artists' songs may be played on the radio, and they will also have the opportunity to interview with Trey in addition to a blog, connecting our listeners with their social media pages.

Each week will have one winner. The Top 11 will be reintroduced and will get to have their songs passed on to record label executives. Top 3 will then be given the opportunity to meet with the record label execs, with the winner will being given the chance to open up for an artist. In addition, the winner's song will be added into rotation for the month of January!

The contest will begin on Monday, September 5th and will run through Sunday, November 20th. Saturday and Sunday voting is conducted on wtug.com. Mondays Jade announces that week's winner.

Monday, November 28th through Sunday, December 4th, the 11 finalists are reintroduced and voting is conducted for top 3.

After the top 3 contestants are chosen, they will meet with label executives on Saturday, December 17th. The winner will be the opening act for another national recording artist and have music played in rotation through January.
