Last week, WTUG partnered with Monster Makeover, and had the opportunity to pass out candy to young trick or treaters. Although most kids were there for the candy, Monster Makeover was an opportunity for The Tuscaloosa Public Library and The Tuscaloosa News to donate to local art departments. Each year, they go to schools and have children create what they think a monster looks like and a professional local artist recreates that image and its auctioned off. This year was the first year at the Drish House and about $4,000 was raised.  There were over 700 people who attended, which helped the new owners of the Drish House showcase the reconstruction they have done. It was an all around great event and very family friendly.  Planning has already begun for next years Monster Makeover, hopefully, WTUG can make another appearance.
