Yes Elephants Really Do Understand Humans

Remember those old Tarzan movies where Tarzan would yell for the elephants when he was in danger?

The elephants really did understand Tarzan.  According to a recent study elephants can distinguish between human languages, and they can tell whether a voice comes from a male, female, or a boy.

The study also shows that while humans are studying elephants the elephants are also studying people and drawing on their famed powers of memory. Read the study here
