2 Live Crew’s Fresh Kid Ice Dead at 53

The hip-hop world has lost another member. Fresh Kid Ice, a founding member of the legendary group 2 Live Crew, has passed away.

According to a report from TMZ, the group’s manager said Fresh Kid Ice, real name Chris Wong Won, died at 7:50 a.m. on Thursday in a Miami hospital. He was 53 years old. The website reports his death was caused by a medical condition from which he'd been suffering.

2 Live Crew member Uncle Luke confirmed the death on Twitter.

“My condolence goes out to the family of Chris Wong Wong Fresh Kid Ice of the 2 Live Crew who just passed away. people we lost a legend,” he tweeted.
