The Tide Continues To Fight For NCAA Tournament Bid
Perhaps the most important thing happening is Alabama baseball making its SEC Tournament run for the first time since 2016 and playing in the winners bracket Thursday taking on 6th seed Florida. Statistically speaking, Bama needs one more conference win to get to that sweet spot of 15 total conference wins to make a run at the NCAA tournament.
Alabama Baseball Honors Seniors
As the baseball regular season comes to a close, Alabama took time to recognize it’s graduating seniors during a short ceremony before Friday’s game. Outfielder Jackson Tate, Catcher Sam Praytor, relief pitcher Chase Lee, catcher Johnny Hawk, and pitcher William Freeman were each honored with plaques of their framed jerseys and pictures.
Peyton Wilson Named to SEC Baseball Community Service Team
The Southeastern Conference released their Baseball Community Service Team this afternoon and Alabama baseball’s second baseman Peyton Wilson was named to the 2021 team. Every year, the SEC highlights an athlete from each school that gives back to their community.
Alabama Baseball is Hoover Bound
According to Rick Pendley, Vice President of Alabama’s baseball booster organization, Alabama baseball is officially Hoover bound for the SEC Tournament. The announcement comes after a Missouri loss paired with an inevitable Auburn or Texas A&M series loss this coming weekend. Missouri will finish last in the SEC East and the loser of the Auburn/Texas A&M series this weekend will finish last in the SEC West standings.
SEC Baseball Tournament Updates And Where The Tide Stands
With less than four weeks until selection Monday for the NCAA Tournament, the college baseball season is quickly coming to a close. The Crimson Tide is currently 28-16 and 11-11 in conference while in the midst of a weekend series against No. 2 ranked Vanderbilt. Alabama sits comfortably in the middle of the pack for the SEC tournament, while still playing to prove they belong in the NCAA Tournament.
Hope For Updated Spring Seating Capacities
With news of Texas and Mississippi lifting Covid-19 restrictions, hope is on the horizon. Alabama governor, Kay Ivey, announced she is lifting the state’s Covid-19 restrictions April 9th and does not intend on extending it beyond that date.
Alabama Men’s Basketball Looks To Avoid February Woes
Statistically speaking, February is not a kind month to the Tide. Over the last four seasons, Alabama is 14-19 in February alone. Last season The Crimson Tide ended the season 4-7.
Alabama Ticket Office Surveys Season Ticket Holders for 2021
As the ever-evolving student ticket and ticket opt-in process continues on, there is optimism on the horizon. Season ticket holders for Alabama athletic programs were emailed a survey in regard to season ticket renewal for the upcoming 2021 season.
