Don't worry, I didn't either.

Governor Bentley has declared February 19-24th 2017, as Severe Weather Awareness Week. Each day, The National Weather Service will discuss a different severe weather topic.

Schools across the state are to conduct a safety drill today to help students know what to do in the event of an emergency.

We should always be prepared for the worst when it comes to weather, because often times it is very unpredictable.Being prepared means having an emergency kit, cases of water, nonperishable food, flashlights, and medicine on hand if something were to happen.

As always, WTUG strives to do our very best to help our listeners in severe weather situations. We cut regular programming, and go strictly to weather. This Friday, we will be at the Tuscaloosa Home Depot from 1-6 PM, and withe Tuscaloosa County EMA will be programming weather alert radios.

Also, this weekend is a Tax-free holiday on select weather preparedness tools.
