Alabama Earns Commitment From Transfer Portal Tight End
The Crimson Tide has made its second addition via the transfer portal in the spring window, earning a commitment from Troy transfer tight end Brody Dalton, according to On3 Sports.

Dalton, a 6-foot-5, 260-pound tight end from Fyffe, Alabama, committed to the Crimson Tide over North Carolina and Cal. Originally committing to UAB out of high school as a two-star recruit, he posted four catches for 63 yards during his true freshman season. He entered the transfer portal and committed to Troy before his sophomore year. In two years with Troy, he caught 20 passes for 276 yards and three touchdowns.
Dalton then entered the transfer portal again, and the Crimson Tide was able to add valuable depth at the tight end position after it was decimated by injuries during the spring transfer portal window. Danny Lewis Jr. missed all of spring practice with a lower-body injury, Marshall Pritchett missed the final six spring ball practices with an injury, and Josh Cuevas missed the final four practices with an injury suffered in the Tide's second scrimmage. Prithcett was spotted on crutches and in a knee brace during A-Day, while Cuevas was seen on a knee scooter. Head coach Kalen DeBoer assured fans that both would be healthy by fall camp.
The addition of Dalton provides the Tide more depth at a position that was hurting for experience during spring, bringing three years of college football experience to a young room. Alabama can also add competition to the role of blocking tight end with Dalton's addition.
Dalton is the second addition for the Tide in the transfer portal.
