Alabama Staffer Takes Position with Jacksonville State
The Alabama Crimson Tide will be searching to replace its Director of Sports Science following the 2024 football season. According to a press release by Jacksonville State Football, Dr. Will Wright will take over as the Jacksonville State head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

For seven years, Dr. Wright served as the Director of Sports Science for football, assistant strength coach, and director of sports performance for adapted athletics. During the 2024 football season, Wright was in charge of all sports science testing and interpretation for the Crimson Tide football team and assisted with all football training sessions.
Wright's involvement with Adapted Athletics is believed to be the first of that role for a university.
Prior to his time at Alabama, Wright spent time at Huntingdon College, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He also spent time at Troy, Alabama State, and Valdosta State, where he earned his master's as a graduate assistant strength coach, and at LSU.
Wright earned his PhD in human performance while at Alabama.
