It was previously reported that former Crimson Tide running back Damien Harris would join the broadcast as the sideline reporter. However, that seems to no longer be the case, with Chris Stewart joining WNSP's "The Opening Kickoff" in Mobile, Alabama, and announcing that Harris would not join the Crimson Tide Sports Network after all.

Harris was set to replace former Alabama linebacker and Tide 100.9 show host Christian Miller as the sideline reporter. Miller released a statement following the announcement explaining his decision to step back from the sideline role.

Hoover filled the role as the sideline reporter during road games when Miller was unable to attend.

Harris retired from the NFL in the spring after five years in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. Harris was a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft after playing for Alabama from 2015-2018. Harris won two national championships during his time at Alabama.
