Former Alabama Running Back Joining CBS

The Crimson Tide Sports Network had to call a quick audible with their lineup for the 2024 season.

They were originally set to feature former Alabama running back Damien Harris as the sideline reporter. Harris retired from the NFL in March following four seasons in New England, and one season in Buffalo. Harris rushed for 2,188 yards and 21 touchdowns during his NFL career.

Following his retirement, it was announced by the Crimson Tide Sports Network that Harris would replace former Alabama linebacker Christian Miller as the sideline host.

There was another shakeup in the Network's lineup when Chris Stewart interviewed with WNSP in Mobile. Stewart announced that Harris would not be joining CTSN after all, and would pursue another broadcast opportunity.

The Crimson Tide Sports Network will utilize another former Alabama player to fill the sideline role. Damion Square will fill in as the sideline reporter.

For Harris, his opportunity has now been announced. CBS Sports announced its college football lineup for the 2024 season, featuring former Alabama running back Damien Harris as a sideline analyst.

There are some other notable members on the panel. Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones will serve as an analyst, show host Josh Pate will be an analyst and national college football reporter Matt Zenitz will be a reporter.

Damien Harris was a two-time national champion during his time at Alabama.
