The event will take place at Counterpoint Youth Ballpark from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m., with registration opening at 11:00 a.m. The camp is open to children ages 5-13 and will also include free haircuts, offering both athletic development and community support in a fun, family-friendly environment.

A Birmingham native, Mbakwe starred at Clay-Chalkville High School, where he showed versatility by playing cornerback, wide receiver, running back, and quarterback during his senior year. His leadership and dynamic play helped guide Clay-Chalkville to a state championship, cementing his status as one of the top recruits in the 2024 class.

Mbakwe arrived in Tuscaloosa as an early enrollee in 2024 as one of the top-rated cornerback prospects in the nation. During his freshman season, he appeared in multiple games on special teams and a some appearances on defense, tallying five tackles and one interception.

However, it was in the lead-up to the ReliaQuest Bowl matchup between Alabama and Michigan that Mbakwe made headlines, transitioning from defense to offense and making his debut at wide receiver.

Now, entering his sophomore season, he's fully embracing the switch and has been training diligently to refine his skills as a collegiate wide receiver.

Mbakwe's continued efforts on and off the field - especially in hosting events like this camp - reflect his deep connection to his community and his commitment to uplifting the next generation of athletes.
