The top two teams in last week's SEC standings squared off on Saturday in an exciting matchup between the LSU Tigers and the Texas A&M Aggies. It caused a shakeup in the conference standings, so let's check out how the SEC looks heading into week 10!

1 - Texas A&M Aggies (7-2, 5-0)

The Aggies made some phenomenal halftime adjustments, erasing a 17-7 halftime deficit to defeat the LSU Tigers 38-23. Texas A&M controls its own destiny in the SEC Championship race but needs to take care of business on Nov. 2 on the road at South Carolina.

2 - Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1)

The Georgia Bulldogs were on a bye week during the final weekend of October, giving them two weeks to prepare for this weekend's rivalry game against the Florida Gators on Nov. 2.

3 - LSU Tigers (6-2, 3-1)

LSU suffered its first setback in SEC play, losing a highly entertaining football game against Texas A&M 38-23. LSU is on a bye week to regroup after the loss, returning to action on November 9 at home against Alabama.

4 - Tennessee Volunteers (6-1, 3-1)

The Tennessee Volunteers got an extra week to celebrate the victory over Alabama on October 19. The Volunteers will return to action this weekend hosting the Kentucky Wildcats.

5 - Texas Longhorns (7-1, 3-1)

The Longhorns survived a tough Vanderbilt team in a narrow 27-24 victory. Texas is heading into its second bye week on November 2, before returning to the gridiron on November 9 to host the Florida Gators.

6 - Alabama Crimson Tide (6-2, 3-2)

Alabama looked like Alabama in a 34-0 victory over the Missouri Tigers. Missouri was missing its starting quarterback, but Alabama takes positive momentum into its second bye week. The Crimson Tide returns to action on November 9 when they travel to Baton Rouge for a date with the LSU Tigers.

7 - Arkansas Razorbacks (5-3, 3-2)

The Arkansas Razorbacks could have laid down and ended their season on Saturday. Instead, they rose to the occasion with a 58-25 victory over Mississippi State. Arkansas will return to Fayetteville this weekend to host the Ole Miss Rebels on November 2.

8 - Florida Gators (4-3, 2-2)

The Gators were on a bye week on October 26 to have an extra week to prepare for their rivalry against the Georgia Bulldogs on November 2.

9 - Ole Miss Rebels (6-2, 2-2)

Ole Miss came out looking flat but got the job done in a 26-14 win over Oklahoma. The Rebels will hit the road this weekend to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks on November 2.

10 - Missouri Tigers (6-2, 2-2)

Missouri got thumped by Alabama but was down Brady Cook and Nate Noel in the 34-0 defeat. The Tigers will look to regroup, on a bye week this week before hosting Oklahoma on November 9.

11 - Vanderbilt Commodores (5-3, 2-2)

Vanderbilt could not pull off a second top-five upset this season, falling just short of the Texas Longhorns 27-24. Vanderbilt will travel to the Plains to take on the Auburn Tigers in the second time Diego Pavia has played Auburn in as many seasons on November 2.

12 - South Carolina Gamecocks (4-3, 2-3)

South Carolina was on a bye week during the October 26 slate of games but will return to Columbia to host the Texas A&M Aggies on November 2.

13 - Auburn Tigers (3-5, 1-4)

The Auburn Tigers earned their first SEC win this season with a 24-10 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats. Auburn will return home this weekend to host the Vanderbilt Commodores on November 2.

14 - Oklahoma Sooners (4-4, 1-4)

Oklahoma continued their struggles through their first season in the SEC, losing to Ole Miss on the road 26-14. Oklahoma will return home and likely get a much-needed win against Maine on November 2.

15 - Kentucky Wildcats (3-5, 1-5)

After jumping out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, Kentucky was shut out the remainder of the game against Auburn to lose 24-10. Kentucky will lick its wounds and have to rebound quickly, heading to Knoxville, Tennessee to take on the Volunteers on November 2.

16 - Mississippi State Bulldogs (1-7, 0-5)

Mississippi State had a chance to earn a conference win, likely their only one of the season, and instead, was blown out at home by the Arkansas Razorbacks in a 58-25 loss. Mississippi State will host UMass on November 2 to hopefully get just their second win of the season.

If the season ended today, the SEC Championship would be played between the Texas A&M Aggies and the Georgia Bulldogs. The SEC Championship is played in Atlanta, Georgia.
