Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to a child in Alabama in this scary incident.

There is an Alabama school bus driver who is currently facing charges accusing him of dragging a student down the street with the bus.

According to WTVY, a Dothan public school bus driver is said to have drove off before a student had completely gotten off the bus, causing the young student to be dragged down the street. It's said that the officer also failed to report the incident to the authorities.

Reports from WTVY state that Steven Phillip Valentine was booked into the Dothan city jail late Monday on one charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident. That charge is considered a felony.

Could you imagine getting a call letting you know your child had been dragged more than 100 feet by a bus?

Police say a child who is under the age of 12 stepping off the bus got his arm and backpack stuck in the closing door and the bus dragged him a short distance along a residential street in The Woodlands neighborhood of west Dothan.
