Investigators are reviewing surveillance videos and talking to any possible witnesses after a report from a woman that her dog was stolen from inside her vehicle.

Tonya Kuhl is the woman who told police that her beloved family pet was taken while she ran a few quick errands in a business.

According to Tuscaloosa Police, it all took place on Saturday while she was visiting the Super Target in Tuscaloosa. Kuhl had her dog "Holli" along for the ride, and she had planned on the stop taking no more than thirty minutes.

Kuhl says her dog is a German Pointer mix and weighs about 20-25 pounds.

The woman said she parked in a cool, shaded area and left snacks and water for her dog in the back of the vehicle.

She knew something was wrong almost immediately when she approached her vehicle after making a few purchases inside the store.

Kuhl is now offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of her pet.

Kuhl posted on social media that she believes the thief was driving a Ford truck and wearing a yellow construction vest when he was seen reaching into her automobile to take her dog.
