Alabama Religious Cult Leader Arrested; Claims To Be Jesus
Not much surprises me anymore in the way of news and true legitimate things that are happening our way, more bizarre than any movie or TV show available.

Lots of folks have been discussing on social media a religious cult operating out of the city of Empire, Alabama, after the leader of the group was arrested recently.
The folks that are a part of this religious cult are living in a campsite, which is very common across the state of Alabama when it comes to the homeless population.
This individual has been telling his followers that he is the reincarnated Messiah, Jesus.
The group has 15 to 20 members who have been living at the campsite with the leader
.
According to WBRC, the man goes by the name Lando and calls his group “more than the prophet ministry”.
He claims to be the “only begotten Son of God”.
Walker County authorities announced that they had made an arrest assisted by Blount County Sheriff’s deputies.
Authorities say not everyone at the campsite was arrested, but a few were, mainly because they refused to give their real names.
Officers allowed the remaining individuals to clean up their property, pack up, and head to another location.
What causes people to have this Christ-like complex? And, while we’re at it, the bigger question is: what causes anyone to follow someone they meet on the street who tells them they happen to be God?
That doesn’t seem strange to anyone who follows him?
We need someone from the psych department of one of our fine local universities to help us break down the Whys and the Whats for cult stories like this.
The leader of the group admits that authorities found guns and narcotics on various followers, but he defends that and claims the contraband belongs to someone no longer in the group.
What a bizarre way to kick off 2026!
