Alabama’s Next Big Football Star Just Drove To Tuscaloosa
I don’t know if you saw the movie Rudy, but it is a classic, and it is more than just a sports classic in my opinion.

It is a classic story of what determination and commitment, combined with an excellent work ethic, can produce in the United States of America.
I hope and pray those days in the USA are not over, and at the very least, they better be alive and well here in Alabama.
A young Florida high school football star is in Tuscaloosa today.
His dream is to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide if they will have him, and if not, he wants to play in the SEC if possible.
Kanon Vetter is the player I am speaking of, and I believe we will hear his name again in the future.
He's 6'2/205 and a four-year starter. He has a 3.9 GPA and is clearly motivated, focused, coachable, dedicated, and can kick 50-yard field goals! Not every football star can do that.
Vetter has been all over the Southeast over the last few weeks, getting in his pickup truck and hitting the road, trying to live his college football dream.
In seven states and over 20 schools, he doesn’t have an appointment because his drive, personality, talent, and belief carry him from school to school.
Kanon is a very talented player who, unfortunately, played for a small school with a coach who apparently has zero desire to help his players reach the next level.
Vetter was the QB for his team and a star, as evidenced by the game film I personally watched; it is very impressive.
I’m shocked that he has not been recruited. I think he is a player who just happened to fall through the cracks.
But he deserves a shot at getting on a roster. Coach Kalen DeBoer has been sent a copy of Vetter’s game film. I know that for a fact because I sent it to our coach.
What a great story this would/could be. I don’t have enough room in this space to document every fascinating detail of this young man’s life and the struggles that he has overcome.
I think one day we will hear two announcers on the radio and television talking about this driven young man who drove his pickup truck across the country and ended up playing for a major power-five college football team.
