Is it the most wonderful time of the year?

Well, not if you're trying to stay within a family budget.

If you have a big family I have you in my thoughts and prayers.

Prices at the grocery store are higher than ever for families in Alabama (and across the USA).

That's why this news is so important this holiday season.

When a major retailer offers a product of value at an amazing price it impacts us all.

This particular store features 22 Alabama locations and I'm sure you have one near you.

This holiday season, they are offering a Thanksgiving meal for only $20 that feeds up to four people.

What store?

Target is the outlet with this Thanksgiving deal.

So, what do you get in this meal bundle?

It starts with a frozen turkey (up to 10 lbs), gravy, a box of stuffing mix, cream of mushroom soup, a can of green beans, and potatoes.

Just about everything you would need for a holiday meal.

Target's corporate folks are saying they have heard Americans' concerns about affordable groceries.

This is what they claim they are doing to help families this season.

Target is not the ONLY store offering a discounted holiday bundle.

Aldi and Walmart also have offers on the table.

Aldi rolled out the "inflation-buster meal" at $47.

It includes food for 10 people. Aldi will include a Butterball turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac and cheese plus ingredients to make cranberry sauce. It also includes a sweet potato casserole and a pumpkin pie.

Walmart is offering its package for serving up to 8 folks for about $7 per person.

Let's all hope these holiday price wars continue on while we get the benefits.

Hope you have a great holiday season.
