Alabama Man Gives Hundreds Of Dinners Away
As someone who has lived in Tuscaloosa for many years, dating back to the 80s, I’ve never been so moved by a single act of kindness like the one I saw today.
Understand that the man at the center of this story, local attorney Steven Mezrano, has been doing this for 12 years in West Alabama.
However, today was extremely special, and with many folks in our state hurting right now, it was truly an amazing afternoon.
Mezrano joined our team from TownSquare Media in Eutaw, Alabama, at noon with the intention of giving away 100 $50 gift cards to the first folks in line.
However, when Steven Mezrano saw how many people were lined up, he decided to return to Piggly Wiggly to buy another set of gift cards.
People were so overjoyed, and it was just a wonderful feeling. At the time, I didn’t even realize it was World Kindness Day.
There will be a Christmas dinner giveaway at a Piggly Wiggly in Tuscaloosa on December 18.
We will keep reminding you about that day as we get closer to it, but today was a reminder of something that Jesus said, and he was absolutely right.
