What Weather to Expect in Alabama During February
Is it just me, or is January flying by? Spring is just around the corner, arriving on March 20—but first, we’ve got to make it through February.

Soon, we will find out if we will have six more weeks of winter on February 2 for Groundhog Day. I hope he doesn’t see his shadow so we can have an early spring.
According to The Weather Channel, “The weak La Niña that peaked in January will continue to leave its impression on the temperature outlook for the last month of winter as it begins to subside.”
The Deep South has experienced some historic winter temperatures and snow amounts. Spring sure does sound inviting. The current outlook across the southern region in February is above-average temperatures.
Alabama February Outlook
Alabama's temperatures are balanced between above-average for most of the state and above-average in the northern tier.
Stay tuned for the results of Punxsutawney Phil's prediction on Groundhog Day.
