As many high schoolers are preparing for a fun-filled summer in Alabama, a Georgia teen recently had his life taken away at an Alabama lake.

Life can be changed, or over, in one quick moment.

That's what happened in this jet ski accident on Lake Weiss in Alabama.

According to Daily Mail, Daegen Vaughn, 19, and Mason Sterner, 22, were enjoying the lake when, all of a sudden, the driver lost control.

19-year-old Vaughn was the driver of the jet ski and according to Daily Mail, the vehicle ran aground and collided with a tree killing the him and sent Sterner to the hospital with injuries.

Chattooga High School's Football team posted a message about the 19-year-old's death on Facebook.

"Daegan was such a fine young man," the post read.

"He was a team player who did whatever was asked of him and he always supported his teammates!!!! Proud to have had the opportunity to coach Dago."

Daegen was considered a standout wrestler and football player in high school.

The school Daegen graduated from posted a message on their wrestling team's Facebook page concerning his passing.

"I don’t have any words that I can say. My heart is broken," the post said.

 

According to Daily Mail, the crash is under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Facebook posts from the community say the funeral services for the teen are scheduled for Thursday, May 25, at 4pm in Summerville.
