Super Bowl 57 is set for Sunday, February 12 2023 in Glendale, Arizona.

Bama fans all over are rejoicing in support of all of the Alabama players that will play in this year's Super Bowl game.

According to 24/7 Sports, four former Crimson Tide players will suit up for Superbowl. Offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, quarterback Jalen Hurts, cornerback Josh Jobe and receiver DeVonta Smith all for the Philadelphia Eagles.

One of those Eagles players will help make history at this year's Super Bowl game.

According to Fox News, Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes will make history in the big game. For the first time ever, the Super Bowl will feature two black starting quarterbacks.

"It says a lot about where black quarterbacks have come as far as the position and as far as where people see them as being leaders of teams"

NFL analyst Ryan Clark said when speaking about this historic Super Bowl.

"So many times the narrative about black fathers and about black families is that they come from broken homes."

Clark mentions the story of Patrick Mahomes Sr needs to be told who was a professional MLB player for a number of years and is credited for jump-starting Patrickick Mahomes Jr. as a leader.

Averion Hurts was also mentioned as a long-time high school football coach and also was Jalen Hurts' high school football coach.

This is an amazing thing to celebrate and what better month than February which is Black History Month?

Congrats to both quarterbacks and a huge salute to all families involved as it took effort and sacrifice from multiple people for this moment to become a reality.

During the 2022-2023 school year, Tuscaloosa City Schools, along with Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa, Legal Services of Alabama and Child Abuse Prevention Services, will highlight Rising Star Character Students of the Month from each school in the district, highlighting two to three students each month.
