Alabama State Police Seek Woman & Dog After Homicide in Perry County
State police are trying to locate a woman and a dog after a homicide in Perry County, a rural area south of Tuscaloosa.
Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said agents of the State Bureau of Investigation were called to assist local law enforcement after a body was discovered in Marion, a small city in Perry County.

ALEA said the body was identified as 68-year-old Jeffrey Holifield, a Marion man, and he was found dead in the 2000 Block of Onrow Tubbs Road in Marion.
Now, state investigators have identified 32-year-old Anastassja “Anya” Cooper as a person of interest.
They are seeking to locate and question her about the homicide and are asking for public help finding her.
"Cooper is described as a white female with brown hair, brown eyes, standing at 5’9” and weighing 216 pounds. She may also be in possession of or traveling with a mixed breed dog named “Banana,'" Bailey wrote in an alert to local media.
Anyone who sees Cooper or has information concerning her whereabouts is urged to contact SBI at 334-850-0910.
No other details were available on Friday evening as ALEA continues to seek Cooper and investigate the homicide.
