Superstar free agent forward Kevin Durant is joining Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

The veteran NBA superstar who'd spent his entire career playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, will join Steph, Klay Thompson and Co. in Oakland next season. GSW is coming off a devastating Game 7 loss in the NBA Finals to Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. In this season's Western Conference Finals, the Warriors defeated the Thunder.

Durant is expected to sign a two-year, $54.3 million contract, sources told ESPN's Marc Stein. The deal would include a player option after the first year. He made an official statement via a post on the Player's Tribune:

"The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player -- as that has always steered me in the right direction," Durant wrote. "But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth.

"With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors."

With the announcement, fans immediately wondered what this would mean in terms of rapper Lil B and his infamous "curse." Lil B cursed Durant to never win after Durant called Lil B wack back in 2011.

"KEVIN DURANT WILL NEVER WIN THE TITLE AFTER HE SAID "LIL B" IS A WACK RAPPER," Lil B tweeted five years ago. "THE BASEDGODS CURSE" ON DURANT - Lil B."

But with the news that KD would be joining Lil B's beloved Golden State Warriors, B made it official:  the curse is lifted.

"The BasedGod wants to speak, As life unravels and superstars make decisions that change lifes, welcome home KD the curse is lifted" he tweeted.

Rejoice, Golden State fans. Check out some Twitter reactions below.
