Lil Wayne could be a lil trouble.

The hip-hop star allegedly punched a doorman at a Los Angeles nightclub after the BET Awards last night (June 26) and the guy has filed a battery report with the LAPD.

TMZ reports that the bouncer was working the door at Hyde nightclub on Sunset Blvd and Weezy was co-hosting an afterparty there with 2 Chainz. When members of Wayne's entourage were turned away at the door, things escalated and the superstar found himself arguing with the bouncer.

That's when Wayne allegedly punched the guy.

The bouncer then went to a hospital for treatment, and called police. The LAPD are investigating what happened and are looking to speak to Wayne about it, but TMZ says that a rep for the rapper claims he never punched the guy. Quite the opposite, in fact; the same bouncer allegedly worked the VIP section where Wayne was seated for the rest of the night.

Other than an initial confrontation regarding the incident--the bouncer did reportedly grab Wayne by the arm before he realized who he was--nothing else happened. The bouncer even apologized, according to witnesses.

Nonetheless, he suffered minor injuries during some kind of fracas. And Wayne could face a misdemeanor battery charge.
