Producers Suing Young Money Over Unpaid Royalties from Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter III’

Rapper Lil Wayne has been slapped with two separate lawsuits by two different producers over production work on ‘Tha Carter III.’ TMZ is reporting that Andrew “Drew” Correa and Marcos “Infamous” Rodriguez” are suing Young Money Entertainment over unpaid royalties.

In Correa’s lawsuit, he claims that he signed with a production contract Young Money in 2008 and has contributed music to Tunechi’s ‘Tha Carter III,’ ‘Rebirth’ and ‘I Am Not a Human Being’ LPs as well as Birdman‘s 2009 solo effort ‘Priceless.’ However, the beatmaker says still owed royalty checks from those aforementioned projects.

In Rodriguez’s case, the producer said he was signed to YM in 2007 and claims that he stopped receiving royalty payments from the rap label. He cites ‘Tha Carter IV,’ ‘Rebirth’ and the YM compilation album ‘We Are Young Money’ as his production credits.

By now, these legal case are beginning to sound like a broken record to Weezy. The lawsuit-magnate rapper still has several legal cases on file. There’s a $400,000 lawsuit by a concert promoter, a $15 million copyright-infringement case by production company Done Deal and a lawsuit by the Drummer Boyz who are suing Wayne over the ‘How to Love’ beat.

Hopefully, Lil Wayne can resolve these legal disputes promptly and amicably.
