Sarkisian Selected to Sub for Saban
This weekend when No. 2 Alabama hosts No. 3 Georgia the Crimson Tide will likely have a new head coach. The current head coach, Nick Saban tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week so the program is having to make adjustments. Offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian has been tabbed to handle Saban's in office duties and will likely serve as the Alabama head coach this weekend.

Missouri Gets Players Back After COVID Retesting
Alabama is set to take on the Missouri Tigers in its season opening game this Saturday at Faurot Field. Last week, first-year head coach of the Tigers, Eli Drinkwitz announced his team would be without 12 scholarship players due to COVID-19 protocols. After meeting with the media today, Drinkwitz clarified that after more testing the Tigers would only be without just seven players after several players were removed from the quarantine list.

The first day of school came at the University of Alabama. The Crimson Tide students largely appeared to do a good job following the health and safety protocols that have been put in place this year amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Alabama athletic teams took to social media to show its student athletes on campus donning masks to lead by example.
