One of the most recognizable utensils in the fast food world is about to disappear for good.

Well, thank goodness for this new survey, just released, on the top (and lowest) rated fast food places in Alabama. We have needed something like this for a long time. SO, here it comes. The survey examined all of the United States but they also broke it out state-by-state.

McDonald's along with several other fast food chains has dropped a promotion to give away free food the rest of the year.

I bet you wonder which restaurant, huh? Before I reveal the offending, horrible place, I am very fair. The other issue, is that the place has two Tuscaloosa locations. One, I have never been inside. I gave the other location a few chances. I'm convinced after talking to several other Tuscaloosa natives, there is no hope.

Sorry, you're going to have to ask for that refill. The change has already started at some McDonald's locations.

Now comes the news that Taco Bell is testing a plant-based meat alternative in the state of Alabama. It began on August 18 at Birmingham, Alabama locations of Taco Bell and if it sells well, many other stores will roll it out next year. According to Taco Bell the meat alternative has been certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association.

There is a new food item in Tuscaloosa and I have to admit, it's really weird. I'm shocked a fast food restaurant would even attempt to sell this.
