Bibb County's regular season is over and they are locked into the second seed in the region. They will host a home playoff game on Nov. 4 against either Jacksonville or Munford.
Sipsey Valley showed its superiority over Holt by jumping on them early and often in the first half of the game and then gave its junior varsity a chance for playing time in the second half.
Bibb’s offense, however, scored a touchdown on every drive (besides the last where they ran out the clock) in the first half. Downs threw a touchdown to Jacob Simmons from 32 yards out. Running backs Jaison Taylor and Jordan Goode each had rushing touchdowns from nearly 50 yards out as well in the first half.
The Holt Ironmen (1-2, 1-0) won a sloppy game at Woody Clements Field on Thursday night in Class 4A Region 3 action. The Ironmen defeated the Wilcox Central Jaguars (0-3, 0-1) 32-20 for the school's first win since October of 2018.
