Former Alabama star basketball player Josh Primo helped the San Antonio Spurs announce their new partnership with Self Financial, whose logo will be displayed on their jerseys this upcoming season.

Josh Primo, a former Alabama basketball player and San Antonio Spurs 2021 first-round pick, is getting another shot in the NBA this weekend. Just maybe not in the way the team would have preferred.

The 6'6" wing from Toronto, Canada signed his rookie deal this week, becoming the youngest player in the NBA at just 18 years old.

Alabama freshman guard Joshua Primo was selected No. 12 overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2021 NBA Draft. Primo's selection gives the Alabama Crimson Tide its second first round lottery draft pick in two years following Kira Lewis's selection in last year's draft.

The Canadian is the youngest player in the NBA Draft and appears to be trending as the first Alabama player drafted, ahead of SEC Player of the Year Herb Jones and the school record holder for 3-point makes John Petty. Primo is ranked the No. 25 prospect in the draft by ESPN, making him a candidate to be picked in the late first round.

Alabama basketball is on a nine-game winning steak and has yet to lose a game in conference play. A large part of the Crimson Tide basketball team has become freshman combo guard Josh Primo. Primo was honored by the SEC this week for his play and named SEC Freshman of the Week.
