Hey! I'm Meg Summers, a DJ, foodie, pop culture fanatic, audiophile, and Little Lebowski Urban Acheiver. I'm a new mom to a lovely little daughter and the proud owner of two insanely spoiled dogs. I grew up in Alabama, went to college at Western Kentucky University, and moved back to Tuscaloosa in 2009. I've been a diehard Alabama fan since birth and think there is nothing better than college football and Alabama Saturdays (Roll Tide, y'all!). I spend entirely too much time on the internet and probably drink at least two liters of sweet tea a day. You can catch me on B101.7 Monday through Saturday from 10am to 3pm!

Would You Attend a Counter-Protest to the Westboro Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa? [POLL]

The Westboro Baptist Church is coming to Tuscaloosa on May 18th to picket at the University of Alabama; the picket is supposed to serve as a reminder to Tuscaloosa and West Alabama that the April 27, 2011 tornado was a direct punishment from God for our Godless ways. Or whatever.

Westboro Baptist Church Plans Tuscaloosa Picket May 18

The infamous Westboro Baptist Church is planning to picket at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa on May 18, 2013. According to the WBC, the protest is planned as a reminder of the EF-4 Tornado that devastated Tuscaloosa in 2011; the church believes that the devastation and loss of life that followed were a punishment from God for the University's permissive attitudes towards same-sex marriage.
