Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements for Black Americans. The month began out of Carter G. Woodson's, "Negroe History Week".Since 1976, every U.S. president has mad February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating black history.

I think this year I want to focus on great things the younger generation of Black Americans are doing. This well help show those who aspire to be in their footsteps, work harder to be better than them.

If there are any Black History Month events in the Tuscaloosa area, please let me know so I can attend. We should all use this month to see just how far we've come, and how much further we have to go.
