Black Newspapers Played A Major Role In The Evolution Of Black America – Where Are They Now

The black newspaper was very important to Black America.  In the early 1900 almost every major city had a Black newspaper.  The Black newspaper was the voice of the Black Community.

The Black newspapers addressed such issues as racial discrimination, police brutality, voting rights, and segregation.  A few Black newspapers still exist, but like most newspapers they have become a thing of the past.
