The man that was instrumental in launching the careers of Kirk Franklin and Yolanda Adams and providing exposure for Patti Labelle, Ashford and Simpson, Stephanie Mills, Kenny Lattimore, Dionne Warwick, Coko, Raheem DeVaughn, Lil’ Mo, and Maya Angelo say goodbye after 35 seasons on the air.

Bobby Jones launched and hosted “Bobby Jones Gospel” in 1980 bringing gospel music to an international audience.

The 75 year old will retire as host of Bobby Jones Gospel but will continue to tour in the United States and aboard with the renowned Nashville Super Choir.

Bobby Jones has received stars on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville and on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
