When listening to Charlie Wilson's new Snoop Dogg-assisted single 'Infectious,' it's easy to see why after 42 years in the music business, he still appeals to fans both young and old.

The upbeat, disco-inspired-cut appears on the singer's new album, 'Forever Charlie.' Right off the bat, the track gives you a warm summertime feeling, like it should have been dropped in the middle of June. Plus, Uncle Charlie's soulful delivery is perfect.

The overall concept of the song is quite simple. A certain girl on the dance floor has Mr. Wilson's attention -- Snoop's too.

"Baby girl, lips so red they call you Maybelline / Rock my world, if looks could kill you'd know me off my feet," he croons.

"To kiss your lips, dip, slip into a zone, 2, 1, 3, 5, 4 home alone / Infectious, gold tips with the chrome, nick nack, paddy wack, give me my bone / I want you and I know that you want me too / So let's just do what's on your mind, take your time girl and put that thing on me," spits the legendary rapper.

With a hook that's equally as infectious as the title, a catchy guitar lick and solid verse from the Doggfather, you simply can't go wrong with this one.

'Forever Charlie' arrives today (Jan. 27).
