The WBC Heavyweight Champion is set to defend the belt in his home state this summer.

Multiple outlets have reported that Deontay Wilder will face Chris Arreola on July 16 in Birmingham. It would be Wilder's third title fight in the Magic City, which is only an hour away from his hometown of Tuscaloosa.

Wilder (36-0, 35 KOs) had previously been scheduled to fight mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin in Russia on May 21, but the bout was postponed after Povetkin failed a drug test. Now Wilder will turn his attention to the 35-year-old Arreola (36-4-1), who lost WBC title fights twice previously.

Legacy Arena will host the match next month and ESPN expects it to headline the Premier Boxing Champions card in primetime on FOX. Wilder last fought at the BJCC in September against Johann Duhaupas, which he won by TKO in the 11th round.
