Being a reporter can be dangerous especially in Dothan Alabama.   Dothan city commissioner struck WTVY senior reporter Ken Curtis this morning when the reporter asked him if he was thinking about resigning.

The WTVY Senior Correspondent was following the commissioner to his car this morning. The commissioner pushes Senior Correspondent Ken Curtis’s microphone away when he tried to question him.

Then the commissioner Andrew Newsome swats Curtis in the face and yells, “Get!”

The Dothan Eagle posted a picture of Curtis with blood on his cheek.

In 2013 Newsome was re-elected on the strength on absentee ballots; he received 119 of the 124 ballots cast.

Four people were arrested on charges of rigging the ballots.
